Meanwhile another cold front arrives in the east Thursday to meet up with the RECORD HEAT over the Midwest and Corn Belt. This should result in SEVERE storms with with all hazards potentially especially damaging wind potential. SPC has a level 2 of 5 out already for Thu/Thu night. I've included the 00z ECMWF for timing purposes. Otherwise a clear mundane weekend for most.

@nynjpaweather Do you think northern Delaware has a minimal chance of severe weather? We have been the bullseye the last three years.

For our region, I don't see much threat for severe thunderstorms outside of maybe a weakening severe thunderstorm from central PA into eastern PA. Primary focus this evening will be on heavy downpours and occasional strong wind gusts.
