About 3 months ago i uploaded an old project i worked on since 2022: youtu.be/ZA_ICDs9W9U?si…
ive since then talked to a fellow editor about the project, and i felt inspired to share the rest here :3

@jcareaux You’re welcome!
I should probably clarify that this is not (in principle) the same model from before.
We noticed that cylindrical coords was a wiser starting point, e.g. how Reuleaux doesn’t naturally exhibit weird asymptomatic saturation (as opposed to the previous model).

For the curious: Repo is currently being overhauled, one of which being the temporary name. In the meantime there’s a fork of mine up.

@ALVY_aaa Really Nice work, I use a version of this on my tools some time ago.

Mine has an extra mode to normalize the saturation mode as well which is how I have been using it.
English

@jpznext That's fun to see! One path I went down was to do something similar, but eventually I settled on this: desmos.com/calculator/kop…
English

@ALVY_aaa That's what I meant interestingly we are both using different method to do the back transformation.
desmos.com/calculator/p0z…
I use this to calculate the gains to denormalize the saturation channel.
I published it some time ago, and shared it in some internal groups...
English

@jpznext Thanks! That's neat, we've normalized the domains too; since it's trivial, unless you maybe meant it differently?
What made you want to publish it only now?
