France 24 carried out a months-long investigative operation with to prove that the Muslim Brotherhood Sudanese Armed Forces is using chemical weapons in the Sudanese Civil War. They collected visual evidence, geolocated footage and managed to uncover photos of industrial chlorine containers at SAF-controlled sites such as the Barri and Garri military bases near the al-Jaili refinery 70 km north of Khartoum. They also carried out an analysis of impact craters and gas release events in September 2024, proving that SAF deliberated uses chlorine as a chemical weapon in the civil war. The U.S. State Department also studied the evidence and announced in May 2025 that they had come to the same conclusion. Islamists and chemical weapons are a very dangerous combination that needs to be kept as far away from the West as possible.
