We were honored to host H.E. Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Uganda, at FIDA Uganda Arua today. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for meaningful engagement, including an interaction with one of our beneficiaries.

Intersectionality, as taught to me by @nancyayot is not just theory. It is one of the highest forms of practicing empathy in advocacy. We cannot hold government accountable without understanding citizens. We cannot speak for women without confronting the full weight of their lived realities. We cannot defend human rights without grounding them in law and policy. That is why I speak policy, climate, and women.

Today, we joined fellow members of the Domestic Violence Act Coalition to plan for the year ahead, including Women’s Day activities and our collective demands. 💪🏾 The DVA Coalition brings together institutions working in different capacities to support and strengthen the implementation of the Domestic Violence Act. 📖

Life Update: I am officially a lawyer!

Tomorrow, I will be sharing with the Law students body at UCU .Elated is an understatement ❤️

I was deeply honored to moderate a panel discussion on access to justice, bringing together key stakeholders from the Police Service, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the civil society sector, and cultural leadership.

Access to justice remains a critical issue, particularly at this time when donor funding is steadily declining. As financial support continues to diminish, vulnerable communities are increasingly left without the legal assistance and resources they need to protect their rights.
