With the 2024 season wrapped up for UC, my time covering football for @NewsRecord_UC has concluded

The first football game I ever got to cover for TNR in person was the spring football game my sophomore year thanks to @bartlelo in 2023. Also the first "game" under new Head Coach @CoachSattUC. Despite it just being a "team scrimmage" I learned from that experience that I was ready for the bigger stage, reporting on real football games.
Heading into my junior year, I was blessed to be offered the Sports Editor job thanks to @Allison_Kiehl. Leading the sports department, I was now able to live a dream of covering every single football game alongside one of best friends and the Sports Reporter @TEasterday47.
Applying and getting the Editor in Chief position limited my ability to cover as much sports, but I was still able to report on football and sit in the Nippert press box with Tyler.
For two years, we sat side by side. Running down the steps after games to get down to the field, sitting next to each other in the press conferences, having sports debates mid game, and forcing Tyler to read my nonsensical tweet drafts. Through it all, I learned the greatest part of my time covering football was not just the ability to do two things I love (watch football and write), but it was the people that made it the most special.
Seeing the incredible photographers and my great friends @maylea_salmon @LydiaSchembre @izzinchini before kickoff up in the press box or on the sidelines after the game. Sitting beside @TEasterday47 & @CalebTheInsider in the press box and the multitude of other journalists or couldn't have been any nicer to @TEasterday47 and I when we first started.
@Knickoson42 who was the first to ever introduce himself to me and make me feel welcome, @MeyerNeil6 who has answered any question we ever had and is always helping us when we get lost, @_JT_Smith for the first bumps anytime we see him, and @zachstipe & @DavidECohen_ for giving us the ability to do what we do.
The people I have met and been able to know through football has been the biggest joy of all. Although my time with @NewsRecord_UC has not ended, wanted to give a special recognition to every single one of these people who have played a huge role in my career and life.
