@GHAL8604 @chakal_igor @FrjalsiFenrir @PatrickBowser2 Ive only played through it once, so some of the finer details went over my head. The story improvements I loved though. Like Don Cornelio actually seeming like a mob boss was pretty cool to me.

It would be interesting to see how they flesh out the story (like Avalanche being framed as Wutai Insurgents) and also they could improve the Junction System. Make it less game breaking, and making you less likely to hoard spells

@GHAL8604 @ALeonhem @chakal_igor @PatrickBowser2 I've always appreciated the Final Fantasy franchise for its continued push for innovation and evolution from one entry to the next. They don't always land, but the effort is important.

@GHAL8604 @FrjalsiFenrir @chakal_igor @PatrickBowser2 I also stopped at FFX. 8's story for me was the most interesting part, though I think some parts could have been done better. Ive actually got notes for using its world and story as a D&D Campaign.

I don't always like the changes with each one, but they all had their plusses to counterbalance it for me. Although, I can't speak for all of them I guess. I stopped at FFX.

@GHAL8604 @FrjalsiFenrir @chakal_igor @PatrickBowser2 I call it heavy grinding because not only are you fighting extra for XP, but also for Drawing Spells, as well as AP for making your GF learn the moves you want. I dont think it was a bad system, matter of fact the change makes its stand out alot amongst other FF games.

@ALeonhem @FrjalsiFenrir @chakal_igor @PatrickBowser2 Well, I guess if you call that "heavy" grinding, sure. That's just how I grind on normal (not a dig on anyone who games differently btw). I love to level up, which with FFVIII was a double edged sword since it dictates the boss levels and other side quest opportunities/results.
