@jon_trickett @kateferguson4 This is what I’ve been saying. The disclosed material said Mandelson was being provided with a mobile phone. So where is it? The messages are on there too! Or should be!

@kateferguson4 McSweeneys phone as gone AWOL with all his Mandelson messages. Quelle surprise!! And where is Mandeldon’s phone which must also have the same messages recorded? The elite class think we British are all fools if they believe we are so gullible as to swallow the rubbish they feed

EXCL: Morgan McSweeney's mobile phone with texts to Peter Mandelson was stolen. These messages may be lost forever - meaning there there will be gaps in The Mandelson files published by No10. Phone was nicked and reported to police last year. thesun.co.uk/news/38591267/…

@kateferguson4 Erm, it was sent to Mandelson who was given an official government phone according to files released. Why can’t they pick them up from Mandelson’s account?

So Morgan Macsweeney’s phone got stolen? What’s preventing the conversation being accessed from Mandelson’s WhatsApp. If this was official government business between two officials then there are phones with the data on? Was it returned once dismissed?

@FurkanGozukara Surely, then they can recover them from Mandelson’s phone then? If it’s official business, two government officials…. Still retrievable?

You literally cannot make this up. The Prime Minister's Chief of Staff had his phone "stolen" with all his messages to Lord Mandelson, and conveniently there is ZERO backup. They are treating the public like absolute fools.

🚨HOUSE OF LORDS BOMBSHELL🚨 Baroness Finn exposes 56 MISSING docs on Mandelson’s Epstein-linked ambassador fiasco. Accuses Starmer of knowing he was unfit yet appointing him anyway, betraying public trust. Opposition has repeatedly raised this, yet no formal answer from ministers! She pressed: Has Met Police legal advice been sought on these gaps? When will we get transparency? Finn accused PM Keir Starmer of knowing Mandelson maintained ties to convicted Jeffrey Epstein post-conviction, deeming him unfit for the role, yet appointing him anyway after a “farcical” due diligence process involving Mandelson’s friends. No written record of the decision exists, extraordinary lack of audit trail! She slammed Mandelson as a ‘serial liar’ on public record, called the £70k severance unjustified, and said the real betrayal is Labour’s broken promise of a ‘transparency revolution’, now looking like evasion and cover-up amid the ongoing Met Police criminal probe. No wonder Starmer refuses to answer any questions about Mandelson during PMQs and just changes the subject—which was brilliantly called out by @A_J_Snowden! 👏🏻

@JackElsom Isn't the Speaker supposed to tell him to answer what he's asked?

Tory MPs are making increasingly frustrated gestures at the Speaker as Starmer answers questions he isn’t being asked…

The Parker does have some power. In principle, the @CommonsSpeaker could say something like: “The Prime Minister should address the question that was asked.” This is essentially the Speaker reminding the minister about relevance. #PMQs 2/2

Under the practices of the House of Commons, answers to oral questions should be relevant to the question asked. This expectation comes from the procedural authority Erskine May: Parliamentary Practice, which guides how parliamentary procedure operates. #PMQs 1/2

Tory MP Andrew Snowdon has certainly had enough of Keir Starmer avoiding answering questions at #PMQs. Three times he was asked about Peter Mandelson and answered by mentioning: The war in Iran. Attacking Nick Timothy. Protests in London. He avoided answering it again!

@KOSTerru @ArchRose90 @A_J_Snowden He was asked an important question about his role in the ministerial appointment of th ambassador to America who had high level security access. You don’t think it’s important to clarify this issue that a known close associate of a convicted paedophile was appointed by the PM?

@ArchRose90 @A_J_Snowden #PMQs should be about the state of the country & adult questions about things like the economy, health & environment. Instead she wastes every single week trying to demean the PM with personal slurs. How do you think he’s going to reply?

In #PMQs Starmer refused to answer @KemiBadenochs questions, give irrelevant answers. Then he did the same thing after this from Andrew Snowdon MP. @Keir_Starmer is not fit to be our prime minister.

@KieranMullanUK They didn’t sack him though. That would have required an investigation, They terminated the contract so had to pay him lieu of notice, They didn’t sack him as Starmer knew he would be implicated

NEW: The Mandelson payout is a breach of value for money rules & therefore breach of the Ministerial Code. You are NOT allowed to use severance payments for "reputation management" Thread 1/3

@kelvmackenzie I imagine because he wa employed as a civil servant to sack him the would need to do a disciplinary investigation. So instead of that they gave notice on his contract waiving lieu of notice which is why he would be entitled to 3 months salary and then the discretionary payment

Why? Why? Why? Why would Starmer make a £75K payoff ( with your money) to Mandelson. He would never have won a penny at employment tribunal. Was the money designed to keep him quiet? There can be no other explanation.

@urgrocerygoer @kyranthrax I don’t think it’s about being out of touch. It’s more to do with the fact the word was used when people were having their heads kicked in. It’s very triggering for some. I understand it’s reclaimed by a younger generation.

What are people’s thoughts on the word queer? I did an interview with someone where the host got literally offended at me using the word to describe myself and that felt a bit crazy to me but idk
