@TCG_TALK It's always sad to hear about a TCG that tried something new not make it. Altered was for sure unique in their approach to the game. Although maybe it would be better as a board game ?

Once the biggest Kickstarted TCG in history (Cyberpunk just overtook it), closes it’s doors in 18 MONTHS. I never got a big interest in it. But I’ll have to read into what went from $6.7M in funding to stopping mid set promotion…hate to see things fail like this.

It's always sad when a card game needs to close it's doors. All the respect to the folks who worked on it, and don't give up ! We will always remember you fondly <3

Last weekend, I've had my utmost pleasure to join you as a commentator for Flesh and Blood Battle Hardened: Gdańsk! 🇵🇱⚔️ It's been a crazy weekend full of emotions, joy, and some of Poland's finest Flesh and Blood gameplay! Venue was filled to the brim with 100 players! 1/5 🧵

@DistantCoder On the point of enjoyment - I have a feeling that YGO crowd is way more competitive, they need to win, or they are having no fun (not all, but a lot of players I know are like that). And then there is Pokemon players who want to have fun with their favourite mons, and chill :D

Attended my very first Pokémon regional as a spectator, here’s what I observed (from a Yu-Gi-Oh player’s POV): - The setup for streams is phenomenal. Konami could learn a LOT from TPCI in terms of this. Would love to see Konami implement seperate streams for Advanced and Genesys that run alongside each other, very cool. - The crowd diversity is night and day with yu-gi-oh. There are kids, women and parents attending, participating and enjoying themselves. A far cry from Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments who have like 99.9% men in their late 20s in terms of attendance. - Pokémon players smell just as bad as Yu-Gi-Oh players. On multiple occasions I caught a whiff of something that made me feel unwell. - I can’t speak much about tournament organization because I didn’t play, BUT something that really stood out to me is that they used different colored tablecloths to depict which tables were for TCG, VGC & GO which was super cool. Feels like Konami could do this to clearly designate the seperation between main event and side events. Otherwise the event seemed to run smoothly. - Overall the vibe seemed more jolly. People seemed to be more happy to be there than people attending Yu-Gi-Oh YCSes do. - Pokémon REALLY pushes their IP (which is a good thing). Incredible to me how anywhere I look there’s a very recognizeable monster from the brand, they really make sure you know you’re at a Pokémon event the entire time. Not like Yu-Gi-Oh who puts a banner of Ty-Phon at the entrance and calls it a day. This is a MAJOR point Konami needs to step up on. YCSes don’t feel like a grand celebration of Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokémon regionals do. - The commentary (for VGC which is what I mostly watched) was phenomenal and ENTHUSIASTIC! This is a big deal, most Yu-Gi-Oh commentators don’t make you feel like what you’re watching is hype. Konami should take notes and instruct their commentators to do the same (I mean this for some, not all commentators in Yu-Gi-Oh, we know who i’m talking about.) Overall, even though I was just a spectator and didn’t even play at all, I enjoyed myself a lot. Konami needs to start taking notes, genuinely. Step it up!

@CardmarketFAB Losing Carapace was definitely a correct thing to do. The games feel more 'fair' now when you play against those heroes :D

Even with Rootbound Carapace banned, Earth heroes have no issue decomposing their opponents 🍂 by winning every calling and the most Road to Nationals this week!

@DifferentFight I am curious to see what they will do. On one hand - I am all for more nostalgia stuff (like Blaster and Overlord SD) on the other - I enjoyed Divinez creating their own lore, and would love to see more of it :D All in all - excited ! ^^

@4M0SA It's always sad to see people leave a game :( My locals Vanguard is coming in 'waves' there is nothing for months, and suddenly for months you have 16+ players, it's so weird. The same with Shadowverse xD

The exodus from Vanguard is real and happening. I think my locals just died. Our lowest turnout was last week and people are exit-selling. None of these messages are me btw, but in the 15 years I’ve been playing Vanguard, I have never felt more saddened and disappointed.
