Over the weekend, I was reflecting on the Human Capital revolution going on in Kaduna State. Recently, His Excellency, Governor Uba Sani (@ubasanius) allocated 25% of the N985.9 billion budget of the State to the Education Sector - the largest share of the budget. He noted that the budget ‘’reflects our resolve to consolidate the gains we have made while laying even stronger foundations for sustainable growth.” He also noted that ‘’we have allocated a huge chunk to the Education Sector because we believe that knowledge is the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty and securing the future of our children.’’ “The Health Sector got 15%, affirming our conviction that a healthy population is the foundation of productivity and human dignity. Agriculture and food security receive 11.65%, reinforcing our commitment to feeding our people, empowering farmers, and strengthening our local economy.” Education, Health, and Agriculture remain three critical sectors that every State Government must pay maximum attention to. Kudos to the people’s Governor!
