H.E. @KagutaMuseveni has highlighted the growing real estate boom in Uganda as a reflection of the country’s economic transformation and expanding domestic wealth creation. The President noted that many of the modern buildings, commercial structures, and real estate developments across the country have been established by Ugandans themselves, demonstrating the progress made through entrepreneurship, investment, and participation in the money economy. While acknowledging that poverty still exists among some sections of the population, he emphasized that there is also a growing class of wealthy Ugandans who have embraced the message of wealth creation, hard work, and enterprise. He reiterated the importance of continued investment in productive sectors of the economy to create more jobs, expand household incomes, and sustain national growth. #M7SwearsIn2026

In my third meeting at Entebbe, I received my brother, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who has joined us for tomorrow’s swearing-in ceremony.
I appreciate his visit and the spirit of brotherhood and cooperation that continues to strengthen the relations between Uganda and Somalia . I warmly welcome him to Uganda and wish him a fruitful stay.

Kampala's slums need an urban renewal plan. We can build decent housing and infrastructure for bonafide inhabitants of the capital city. We would use the money we save from thieves.

Our brothers, ANC, in South Africa have built 3.3 million housing units (or RDPs as they call them) for the most disadvantaged slum/township dwellers since 1994. We can at least do 1,000,000 housing units in 10 years.
