Our #genetic research on Largetooth #Sawfish highlights the importance of securing populations in the E Pac/Atlantic to conserve this genetically distinct lineage. Through local collaborators, we are supporting #eDNA surveys for this elusive species in these regions. #RhinoRay

Looking for a needle in a haystack requires the most advanced technology available, so we designed a novel #ddPCR #eDNA assay for Largetooth #Sawfish. What makes this different to qPCR or metabarcoding approaches? ddPCR can detect just 1 copy of target DNA in a water sample!
