It’s a little surreal to see 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘄 (@OxUniPress) 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁. 📘 Now available in Europe, with wider release coming soon, including the US. This book has been years in the making and marks a journey from early attempts to map this space with the two papers 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴- 𝘉𝘦𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘺𝘱𝘦 and the 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘶𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘛𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘵 (a collaboration between @WhartonBDAP & @wef), realizing there is a real need for deeper research into this nascent field to now holding an edited volume that takes DAOs seriously as a real development in organizational form, governance, and law. We set out to bring together leading voices in corporate law and blockchain scholarship, including proponents, critics, and those in neither camp, to ask some of the foundational questions decentralized organizations pose. I am very grateful to my brilliant co-editors @kwerb and Eva Micheler. Collaborating on this volume was a real privilege, made even better by our outstanding contributors: @anatalonbeck, @JasonGAllen, @DarcyWEAllen, @shawnbayern, @chrisberg, Kara Bruce, @IrisHYChiu, @yaoeo, Jill Fisch, @FelizzyS, @FlorenceGuill20, @peterhunn, @aaronmlane, Kelvin Low, @MannanMorshed, @ChrisOdinet, @NizanGP , @profjasonpotts, Nina Reiser, Michael Schillig, @Edmund_Schuster, and @AndreaTosato1. We’re grateful to the team at @OxUniPress for their support throughout the editorial process and for publishing this volume. #daos #crypto #defi #ai #booklaunch #unboxing #publishing 📌 For a short overview, see the Oxford Business Law Blog: blogs.law.ox.ac.uk/oblb/blog-post… 📚 Book's OUP page: global.oup.com/academic/produ… If you'd like a copy of the book with a special discount, please send me a message.

Happy to share the chapter "Private Law Remedies for Cryptocurrency Fraud," written by Aaron Lane as part of the "Private Law, Digital Assets, and Infrastructure" compilation published by @SpringerNature. Some key takeaways: - Private law can sometimes outperform public enforcement in asset recovery. - Civil procedure can be utilized for specific legal claims. - @Kleros_io can be used alongside traditional private law frameworks. 🚨BREAKING (I rarely use that term anymore, but this time I think it’s warranted 😁): All *three* crypto bills just passed the House and the GENIUS Act is now headed to @realDonaldTrump’s desk to become the first major piece of crypto legislation signed into law. Despite the last few days of drama and uncertainty, Democrats and Republicans really showed up, voting in a much more bipartisan fashion than almost anyone expected. Let’s recap: 📌The CLARITY Act passed in a vote of 294-134 with 78 Democrats voting in favor — more than double the ~35 expected, and more than the 71 who voted to pass FIT21 last year. 📌The GENIUS Act passed in a vote of 308-122 with 102 Democrats voting in favor. 📌The Anti-CBDC Act passed in a vote of 219-210 with 2 Democrats voting in favor. The signing ceremony for the GENIUS Act is set for tomorrow afternoon at the White House. A fitting (and happy) end to Crypto Week.
