Great to join @AMRC #CharityShowcase @ukparliament representing 150+ medical research charities powered by public generosity and investing £1.6bn in UK research in 2024 alone. Their patient‑focused innovation saves lives - including under-researched areas like mensuration!

We're pleased to see the National Cancer Plan for England published today, and its acknowledgement of how important research is in achieving better outcomes for patients. There's also a welcome focus on working in partnership, including with medical research charities. It's great that several AMRC members were engaged in the development of the plan and are mentioned throughout the document. We look forward to working with the government, with our members, and in our role as secretariat of the UK Collaborative for Cancer Clinical Research (UK3CR) to support its implementation.
