I carried either an M16 rifle or an M60 machine gun through the Vietnam jungles, sometimes during the day, sometimes at night. I rode in a helicopter, sitting on its floor with my M-60 machine gun on the floor at my side, hopped off the helicopter and charged the tree line. I helped to build a company-sized perimeter on the Cambodian border to lure NVA soldiers across the border. I found myself inside an explosion a couple of times, including once while I was recovering from wounds in a convalescent center at Cam Ranh Bay.

I agree with the White House that all need to seek peaceful modes of resolving disagreements. Sadly, even the vitriol expressed in this forum contributes to extremism and hatred of any who disagree. Every horrific act like this further divides between those who see the opposition as fomenting hatred and others who presume it is all planned as some psychological operation. The airwaves are filled with so many lies and half truths there is no way to discern what is real. The resentment and distrust just grows. It ends only by restoring real faith in our system; at present neither party is deserving of any real trust. But how do we restore trust in our Republic? There is still a path... 1. Refine Citizens United to stop dark money, corporate, billionaire, and foreign influence over campaigns. Corporate, foreign, and billionaire control/influence has disenfranchised the voting population. Thread the citizens united needle by allowing organizations to rally or encourage individual donations among members or staff, but no entity of any sort can collect and distribute donations or retaliate against staff or members who don't contribute as an organization may hope. Prohibit direct or indirect influence by foreign agents and no dual citizenship party may vote or run for office. 2. Term limits and Absolute legislator investment prohibition. Entrenched power brokers wield influence for themselves, not their constituents. Terms are limited to 6 yrs House, 12 yrs Senate. All personal funds placed in blind trust and no directed investments of any kind if holding public office. Prohibition on private employment in any industry related to the office after leaving office. 3. Remove the corruption of the beltway influence. All legislators live & vote remotely from their home districts. 4. Total transparency: All lobbying, caucuses, bill talks recorded & public. Make it a crime to discuss legislation unless in a publicly accessible recording or in an open meeting.

The driver did not stop, did not check on her, and did not notify the family. Within minutes, Sadie was rushed to the vet with catastrophic injuries, including severe brain trauma and fractures to her C1 and C2 vertebrae. I immediately knew her injuries were severe.” The Chavis family had done everything right. A clearly marked package drop box at the road. Posted signage. No Trespassing notices. Explicit delivery instructions. Carriers like FedEx and UPS follow these directions without issue. Amazon drivers have repeatedly ignored them. Now, instead of taking responsibility, Amazon is refusing to step up. The company is demanding the family pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for emergency, life saving care, with only the possibility of partial reimbursement later. This is negligence. This is unacceptable. And it cannot be ignored. AMAZON NEEDS TO #SaveSadie. Share this and demand that Amazon take responsibility and change its practices before another family suffers the same devastation. @amazon

@Cbvheartland2 I moved here from Redding CA in 2018 and at first I would get in the bathtub or somewhere. But now I’m like I would go watch but I haven’t gotten lucky enough to be able to watch it.

My wife was born and raised in San Diego, moved here with her Okie mother in 1984, she has absolutely no idea what the weather will do from one day to next, Her famous saying is the storm is upon us, she will take off and drive directly into a Tornadic storm without a care in the world until she can't see the road to drive, It's basically what you don't know won't hurt you or dumb luck, definitely a case study!

There's cold air directly behind a stationary front where these storms are firing today, updraft will create a situation where large Hail can form, The cold air also keeps the Tornado from growing in soup, Hell of trade off ain't it ! But if one gets far enough away from the stationary front it will start growing.

I am the "simp wing" of whom MinerBob speaks. I don't hate Trump at all... I want Trump to return to the platform he campaigned on (no new wars, lowered spending, no warrantless surveillance, prosecution of elites). I want to pressure him and his administration towards that end, not simply to nod along. I do not want to vote for any candidate of the Democratic Party but I would like to have someone from Oklahoma's Republican Party actually stand for conservative values rather than simply caving and cowering. I'm happy to discuss and debate anything, anytime, without insult or obscenity. I don't think I'm morally superior to anyone, I just disagree with those claiming to be conservative who seek to silence all dissent. If MinerBob had the power to completely silence me from ever speaking to anyone, anywhere, he's made it clear he would. Fortunately he lacks the power to do anything more severe than boot me from a Space. Conversely, I would defend his right to disagree no matter how wrong I believe him to be. Ironically I probably agree with Bob on 90% of the substantive issues and candidates facing our nation. My disagreement with him on Massie and my critiques of Trump's shift enrage him to the point of making us enemies, sadly.

I have been dealing with the Massie simp wing of the GOP for a while now. This is what I've learned. They hate Trump and his supporters with a passion even the Democrats can't match. They think they're morally superior to every other group in America. They are narcissistic mid-wits. There is no common ground or any ability to reason with these people they feel they are ALWAYS right. This meme is the only way to debate them.....ever!!!

Good morning from a muggy Southeastern Oklahoma We have a low cloud deck and the lights of Mcalester has them illuminated this morning It's that time of year to really start paying attention to the sky and be aware of what's going!

@Okie_Rancher It’s cooking. I went to A Street Market in Mcalester for the meat and I put onion 🧅 potatoes 🥔 and carrots 🥕 in it and used the seasoning packet on side. Of course I put the lid on it too ;)

The only American beef dish that beats barbecue is a slow cooked, fall apart off the fork roast. The beef, sweet potatoes, kale chips and sourdough are all farm fresh; rice came from a bag :). An amazing supper from my wife’s garden and our pasture. Life is good.

The Trump admin is going to bail out Spirit Airlines with $500 million of your tax dollars but refuse to do anything to lower the cost of health insurance. Or cost of living. Or gas and diesel. Those are actually going up because of Trump’s war in Iran with no end in sight. By the way, customers rated Spirit Airlines: poor customer service, uncomfortable, non-reclining seats, and high fees for luggage. But Spirit gets a $500 million dollar taxpayer funded bailout. No you don’t get a DOGE check. No you don’t get a tariff refund check, actually you pay back tariffs by the billions. You get another foreign war that you have to pay for and someone you know gets shipped off to serve in. You get told to shut up and called a “Panican” for being outraged over Trump fighting the Epstein files and calling it a hoax. And you get the same America LAST bullshit from your government. It’s absolutely UNREAL. NOT what America voted for.
