My @euromerchants report sets out 15 proposals on how to connect Scotland to the world. Neither independence nor EU membership is around the corner. We should all care about what the Scottish govt achieves, or does not achieve, in this space in the present bit.ly/3ZPZFSm

Moreover, it is counterproductive, and confusing to external partners, for the Scottish & UK govts to compete with each other to represent Scotland. The two administrations should work together better to speak for Scotland in line with their respective powers and responsibilities

It is regrettable that the UK govt is attempting to limit the Scottish govt's international meetings. Instead of professing indignation, the Scottish govt should reflect on how it has contributed to a climate of polarisation on Scotland's role in the world heraldscotland.com/politics/23466…
