@Uncatfishable But this is all a distraction. We are deceived by the demons who want us to believe that "utopia" is just an engineering problem, and if we just took the kingdom into our own hands, everything would be made right: "My will be done." But this is death. Rather, "Thy will be done."

@Uncatfishable Recognize what is going on. A wealthy person who chooses to punch down actually does cause distress to those below. Punching up at the wealthy doesn't work the same way. No one punches up because they know it does not similarly deprecate the humanity of the wealthier person.

@dannyscalant Thx. I can't justify continuing to engage with a machine that consumes more farmland, forests, and waterways in order to have its datacenters and servers. So I can pick between meatloaf or lasagna? So I can I can know how to swing kettlebells around my garage for vanity's sake?

@AMWilde I think this is the right objection to most “AI meal planning.” Food is relational, not just logistical. The useful version of AI here should remove the 6pm decision fog, not turn dinner into a productivity spreadsheet.

I don't want my meal-planning to be optimized by artificial intelligence. I just want to cook together and eat a meal with my beloved ones and tell our stories. I don't want to use the latest technology to min-max my body. I just want to be fit enough to serve those around me.
