this tornado watch thing is really scaring me: my daughter’s school is closed, William & Mary is closed, our house is surrounded by trees, & the safest place for us in a tornado is a tiny bathroom. & what about the cats? I doubt I’ll even be able to catch them in an emergency. 😭

@marklewismd I’m curious if you’d see this effect with cats and other non-dog pets. In other words, is the benefit due to companionship? Or is it because dog owners have to be a little more physically active to take care of their pets, even if just taking them outside to do their business?

I absolutely love how the house paint looks against fresh snow. Neighbors said it would be too dark but everyone passing by gave compliments on the bold choice. Whole hood is gray and beige. Moscow Midnight by Sherwin Williams is gorgeous.

Doctors and parents should be aware that the medical textbook description of a "bright red measles rash" is based on white skin. On brown or black skin, the measles rash can be much harder to see. It may appear as darker, dusky or purple patches rather than bright red spots.

A common misconception I am seeing in the replies is that antibiotic resistance isn’t about your body becoming resistant. It’s the bacteria that become resistant. Even if you personally use antibiotics responsibly, or have never used antibiotics ever , if those resistant bacteria infect you, the standard antibiotics won't work on you too. That is why it is a community problem and needs urgent awareness programs for both patients and healthcare professionals
