Consider @_PhilNorman ‘s petition to @uk_sport@iocmedia
The OLY isn’t just about seeing your countryman medal, it’s about seeing a club athlete you recognise up on that stage. Who is Ian to tell us what inspires us & why can’t they self fund?

Want to know what 10K shape you’re in? Go race a 10.. *checks notes* ..oh just do a 1K TT.. 🤔 @UKhotfoodchat@80percentvegan
The state this sport has been lowered to by influencers and scam-coaches 😩
As a British citizen, it's strange to know that if I'm murdered by Israel, my prime minister and the entire national media will immediately defend Israel.
@James_Athletics Doesn’t WA rules allow hosting nations to put an athlete in every event even without a Q though?
I find it hard to believe that 0x M400m, M800m, W60m or M-field athletes & only 1x M3K, W3K, W400, W60h, M60, were interested in a Home World Champs, OLY year or not
Seeing lots of tweets about the team size for Glasgow, and frustration (misplaced) towards UKA. Can't control if athletes don't have the Q (set by WA) or are focusing on the summer. Except for m4x4 and w400, every athlete with a Q who wanted to be selected, has been.
@didjesusdrop Its not fake. For Donda they released the album then made a tracklist change and gave everyone a refund on the original. Same is happening here. Vultures was uploaded incomplete, Vultures 1 was released too now they'll likely refund Vultures (which is gone from itunes store)
@SEAACompetition When are the SEAA XC Relay (21st Oct) results going to be finalised with Po10? It’s been 2months and no-one has replied to emails in 3 weeks.
World record holder Kelvin Kiptum's next marathon will be...Rotterdam on April 14, 2024.
Why Rotterdam over London, where Kiptum is the defending champion? Well, Kiptum's agent Marc Corstjens puts together the elite field in Rotterdam...
@SEAACompetition when will the SEAA XC Relays details & entry system be released?
Conscious the race is in 4 weeks, and entries normally close in 2 weeks, but there is no online entry available atm and no XC prospectus for this season on the website. Thanks.
Embarrassing but forgivable (possible) typo that would be 21s quicker than the Mile WR, but then it’s not hard to fact-check when someone has fabricated their personal bests @thetimes@georginamrobert@hannahsianevans “five of strava’s fittest users” archive.fo/O3cdv
@James_Athletics@BBCSport@BBCiPlayer fair enough but same problem, different source.
Athletics is suffering a lack of interest from the public & when WR attempts come along they’re not being televised, whether it be the fault of Diamond League, WA, individual meet holders or broadcasters not sending people
@AMillbery@BBCSport@BBCiPlayer tbf, it's not their doing - the global feed hasn't started. So their hands are tied, same in nearly all countries (and the WA livestream)
@LydiardsWay 30:48 in March off 75M (6 singles). Since moved to 87/90M in 6 singles.
Doing doubles in the past always overdid my hamstrings and the motivation was always low for the second run
May reintroduce the doubles over Xmas: recovering fine as is but couldnt go any higher on singles!
I always think this is an interesting debate. What are we thinking. Certainly would be good to hear other's perspectives. People who have less commitments and those who are on tough time schedules.
Are two runs better than one? Good question. With my Lydiard hat on I'd go for the one big one, rather than two smaller ones. Also spending time on changing showering for a smaller run can be ineffective in terms of time. However, some like doing it. What do we think?
A relay great weekend on the roads.👋👋👋
