Celts will enter the Draft with around $13.2M of space BEFORE crossing over the luxury tax. Assuming they keep their pick, take off a few million for the rookie
They have the full NTP-MLE (was $14.1M this year) to spend without even touching their $28M TPE
In theory, that could be 2 players for under $10M or one player (big or shot creator) for closer to $10M
Point is, Brad has tools to add while ALSO staying under the luxury tax if the goal is to stay under to reset the repeater, but also has the flexibility if a high salary player arises that they would be willing to go back over the tax for, they have the $28M TPE
Could you maybe get someone like Rob for $6-8M?

@StoolGreenie This and the Jamal trade hamstrings us financially. Getting Simons for a third of that price would leave room for us to move Sam for a big since he would no longer be starting.

@nickmhc @StoolGreenie I wouldn't look too much into that tbh. Every player would love to have a season being the #1 option. Hell, my favorite season was the 2017 season, not 2008 or 2024.

@StoolGreenie I would seriously think about Timelord.
This isn't just because he played here, but also because of the type of D he plays, allows a different look.
Also, his vertical spacing would offer an alternative to a 3 at times.

@StoolGreenie Adding a third point guard (Simons return for a reasonable contract would be nice), and we have got to get Queta some help. Don't necessarily need a starting caliber 5 but we need someone that can come off the bench. If we get a third guard we should probably look at trading Sam

At the end of the day this was a successful season. We weren't supposed to win 40 games and we ended up the 2 seed. Get everybody healthy, get another scoring PG (Simons pls), &a serviceable big to add to Queta/Garza and we will be back next year. GG Philly, finally got one on us
