This cuts Iran’s income, stopping exports of ~2 mbd (vs world usage of ~105 mbd). Oil prices rise. How does Iran respond? They could attack the Saudi & Gulf oil infrastructure. Perhaps cut the pipe to Yanbu or its facilities - which exports 4-5 mbd. Oil prices then skyrocket. There would be US casualties on Kharg from daily hits by Iran’s missiles. China’s oil imports drop.
