The Desmond Campbell Collection contains over 1,200 photos of BBC TV from 1937 to 1951. Campbell stored the negs in his garden shed for many years, where they deteriorated. APTS has restored these images over several years - this channel is the result.

"The Television Follies" produced in 1933, and considered lost for decades made an appearance on @TalkingPicsTV in the early hours of 15th February '26, made available by the Cinema Museum in London. This amazing gem features a variety show that purports to be playing on a Baird Televisor. This film has an important part in broadcasting history. The film is currently available to view on buff.ly/i1zRqZi

I've been cartooned! I say it's a bit harsh. But that's probably what Mickey Mouse & Goofy said to Walt Disney and what Fred Flintstone & Top Cat said to Hanna-Barbera. The real me (far more butch, dapper & macho) will have the Heritage Chart Breakfast Show from 7.00am

@APTSArchive This was after 2 years of experimentation in Hastings, culminating in a demo of his invention to the Radio Times in 1924. It worked, but Baird was disappointed with the images. After moving to London, he developed and improved his invention and then came the successful 1926 demo.
