Just finished off my second viewing of the Cross Border Challenge where U15 Québec Black fell 5-2 to Ontario Red: - Justin Harding (D) was probably the best player for Québec all game long, physical on the defensive side of things and confident in the OZ. - Thomas Dupuis, Émile Doyon and Charles Couillard had good games from the backend as well. - Up front I liked Nathan Lévesque, James Skoczylas and Christophe Chabot.

The heavy Eastern Canadian recruitment from Masters Academy continues on as they get a commitment from one of the best 2011-born Québecois goaltenders in Liam Boily. The 6’2 and 187 lbs netminder is a dual USA/CAN citizen who recently made the decision to represent USA Hockey.

I don’t think it’s a secret that I’ve been lower on Charbonneau than consensus pretty much all season long. That being said, there’s no doubt in my mind that he has all the necessary tools to be a high-end goal scorer at whatever level of junior hockey he opts to play at. He’s also made some good strides in his 5v5 efficiency throughout the year.

🚨BREAKING🚨 Some bombshell news pertaining to the 2027 QMJHL Draft as Top Prospect Zyon Decaens has committed to Masters Academy for the 2026-27 season. The New Brunswick native was given exceptional status to play U18 this past season for the Moncton Flyers, putting up 26 points in 38 games.

As we continue to chip away at viewings for the 2026 QMJHL Draft, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m going to have Malik Tremblay (#21 Black) much higher on my board then consensus. Every time I watch him I’m blown away by how intelligent and efficient he is on his puck touches, on top of showing shrewd off-puck anticipation in the OZ. Watched the first U15 Cross Border Challenge game today between Québec White and Ontario Red, here are some general thoughts: -Ontario is icing much more competitive teams this year, Isaya Papineau and Reece McLellan looked quite good. -Cédric Dery’s (D) point shot was an absolute weapon, putting up 2G and 2A. -Jérôme Daigle, Joseph Morissette, Owen Clark-Roy and Enzo Paradis all had great games for Québec up front.

2011-born Newfoundland native Liam Costello has signed on with The Hill Academy U16 club for the 2026-27 season. The 6’1 and 179 lbs forward captained the U15 Eastern Knights last year putting up 47 points in 35 games. He’s eligible for the 2027 QMJHL Draft.

2011-born PEI native Nick Liu has signed on with The Hill Academy U16 for the 2026-27 season. The 5’11 and 157 lbs defender put up 32 points in 26 games for the U15 Eastern Express last season. He’s eligible for the 2027 QMJHL Draft.

@Nickthenick08 I won’t pretend to know anything about the ongoing process but I imagine it’s more about keeping him in Nova Scotia. Worst case scenario he faces some adversity in his first year and is fully prepared for his draft-eligible season. I don’t see a ton of downside.

@ARobScouting Obviously he has nothing left to prove in u15 but do you think u18 is the right step? Will his size affect him at all do you think? Decaens played a year early in NB and was solid but he’s also a lot bigger than Cranston.
