Top 2027 QMJHL Draft prospect Max McCarthy has committed to play for Shattuck St. Mary’s for the upcoming 2026-27 season. The Newfoundland native has 97 points in 32 games for the U15 Eastern Hitmen this year. I can tell you he’ll be quite high on my Early 2027 Draft List that comes out next week.

William was part of the first draft class I covered in 2024 and I was a big fan of his back then, putting him at No. 5 on my final board. I’ve seen him here and there for Saint John throughout the last 2 years and I don’t think the point totals tell the whole story.
