The regiment is deeply saddened at the loss of 2Lt Max George who was killed during a training exercise on Salisbury Plain on Tuesday 21st June. Our thoughts are with his family, friends and the 5th Battalion The Rifles. Max’s eulogy can be found on SWIFT.

Ticknall Detachment is in a rural setting - but they're definitely not stuck in the past. Cadets got to grips with a very realistic virtual reality indoor range system and produced some impressive groupings!
