Kincsem ( My Treasure) (Mein Schatz) the Divine Horse 🐎💫 💫💫💫💫💫💫🐎💫💫💫💫💫💫 Kincsem was born 152 years ago, on March 17, 1874, and died 13 years later on the same day. Kincsem is the wonder mare known to all Hungarians. As a child, I was always fascinated when my father took me to see her statue. It always seemed to me as if she were alive, and so I would stroke her while listening to the incredible legends about her. Two stories in particular have stayed with me, which I would like to share with you here. The little foal had a star sign on her forehead. During her career, she started 54 times at 13 racetracks and won all 54 races. Her best friend was a black and white cat that accompanied her to every training session. Legend has it that the cat had to be taken to every race, otherwise she would refuse to start. At a French Derby, the kitten escaped, and the entire stable staff searched for her. According to legend, Kincsem refused to drink for an entire day in Baden due to his hypersensitivity to drinking water. Only after a day did the employees find good quality water in an old well, which Kincsem finally drank. How interesting is the story about the kitten!
