We were pleased to be joined by many MPs, including our Chair @SojanJosephMP, Chair of the Carers APPG @AnnaDixonMP, and Minister of State for Health and Social Care @SKinnock.

Last week, the APPG for Adult Social Care hosted a Parliamentary Reception bringing together carers, people with lived experience, and care providers to speak directly with MPs about building sustainable and empowering social care policy.

It was great to host an event for the All Party Parliamentary Group on Adult Social Care (@ASCAPPG) yesterday. Having so many people with lived experience sharing their ideas, perspectives, and personal stories with me was a great privilege.

As someone who has worked in Adult social care I have huge respect for carers and providers of complex care. It was great to have the opportunity to thank them and hear of the challenges the social care sector faces. Thanks @ASCAPPG for hosting.

Last week, the @ASCAPPG held a reception in Parliament, where people who are actively involved in the adult care sector or feel passionately about the subject had an opportunity to raise concerns on a cross-party basis. I know, as co-chair of this important APPG, part of building an NHS fit for the future will be fixing our broken adult care services.

In line with the governing rules of All-Party Parliamentary Groups, the Adult Social Care APPG has paused all activity until the new Parliamentary term. The Group will be reconstituted following the State opening of Parliament on 17th July.
