Spoke to @YouTubeFFTV (Forest fan) for a match preview show on @LatteFirm last night. So many viewers have been triggered by his thoughts on Arteta.
It’s our reality, though. Feels like most non-Arsenal fans dislike him. I’d add that plenty of pundits do too.

@Stillmanator What's the big 6 though? Because we lost against Villa, Newcastle and other teams better the past few years than some of these teams. We were solid in big games but I dont think this stat is relevant.

Neville waffling as usual because he just doesn’t do any research coming into games he’s paid a lot of money to commentate on. First game Arsenal have lost against ‘the big six’ in 23 games. Drew at home to Liverpool last season cos they got done on the counter trying to score a third goal. Came back from 2-0 down in this fixture last season. Just absolute hot air as usual.

🚨🐉 Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto, here we go! Deal agreed with Arsenal on loan with obligation to buy. €2m loan fee, €17m obligation to buy plus add-ons and sell-on clause up to potential fee over €25/27m. Kiwior scheduled to fly in next 24h as soon as documents are approved.

@Mo_goonerette @AurElpatissor Oui mais ça a toujours été comme ça, et c'était pire avant sans la VAR. Il y a beaucoup de décisions qui dépendent de l'interprétation d'un homme, si il dit blanc il fâche une fanbase, si il dit noir il fâche l'autre.

@ASCFR @AurElpatissor Quand je parle de cohérence là je fais même pas référence aux nombreuses situations d’un match. Face à United par ex y a des situations où il n’a pas donné de jaune sur des actions ou je considère qu’il aurait fallu. Je parle des erreurs qui impactent directement un résultat

Je parle bcp de l'arbitrage anglais, peut-être trop aux yeux de certains, mais sur cette première journée de championnat, on peut déjà trouver des dingueries ... Toujours les même. Rien ne change. Pas de remises en question, pire on retire presque le droit à la VAR de déjuger.

@AurElpatissor L’arbitre fait partie du jeu oui mais à aucun moment il doit être un acteur majeur du match. On a trop vu des arbitres anglais être mit en avant dans des matchs importants. L’arbitre fait partie du jeu mais moins on le voit plus son match est réussi. En Pl on les voit trop.

Yes I certainly agree. But I think setting a firm deadline is silly. If Arsenal get 95 points next season but City get 96 and we lose the CL Final on penalties you have to sack him by that logic, which is nuts. If it drifts or explodes you’ll know it when you see it, trying to forecast it with a precise date or by setting dumb ultimatums is just a waste of time.

Can't help but think that in terms of sentiment, Arsenal are heading into a Kobayashi Maru dilemma of a season. Half the fans seem to think anything less than winning the league is a failure worthy of sacking. 🧵

@Stillmanator @arse2mouse The club wont sack him anyway if we dont win anything. But Arteta will be here for 6 years, he's got one of the top wages in Europe as a manager and he talks about major trophies as objectives. At some points he's got to win something big to justify all this trust.

I think that misses out where we were when he took over (+ Covid) but while everyone certainly does have a shelf life I think Tim’s point is totally sound, who goes into a season with ‘win the league now or lose your job?’ It’s reductive and silly. You have to see how things are going and see what the circumstances are, forgive me for being blunt, but totally dismissing any sense of background or context is just the pursuit of people who lack critical thinking skills imo.

@Stillmanator @arse2mouse I feel the longer Arteta stays it will get worse. 6 years is a very long time, I think he's the second longest serving manager in PL. People just naturally want or will want a new face, new communication, new style of football or management. We've been there before.

Yes, I think zooming in on the micro issues is totally rational but the cognitive dissonance between ‘I expect to win the PL (we haven’t done it in 21 years) and / or the CL (we’ve never done it) or the manager should be sacked’ without giving two seconds thought to why you have those expectations is a bit silly. I have more truck with people that have issues with the manager over TP5 but that being the case I think just say it (and I can understand that stance much more).

Le fait qu'il passe de 2 à 4 montre que son cerveau n'est pas en accord avec ses mains. Henry Prime n'est surpassé que par R9 à son poste. Vous pouvez parler carrières, je parle pur talent. J'entends personne parler d'Eto'o à part Eto'o lui même.

Really not happy about Partey situation, innocent until and all that, but given he wasn't charged, i dont believe legally he could have been suspended. But the fact that they tried to renew during the summer, should mean that a lot of criticism will be thrown rightly so at club
