@ASDem Fair points on the deluge… but can we agree that they are the bottom of the barrel? Like is there a worse pollster that produces statewide polls in CA? Is there anyone you can point to and say “they have worse methodology and weights than @surveyUSA?”

I think this poll is complete garbage but my cautionary tale for everyone is to take a breath and wait a week or so before drawing any major conclusions in this race. A deluge of new spending started about a week ago (Porter and Mahan pos, Steyer and Becerra neg) 1/2

@samesfandiari It’s also generally obvious, esp with non-teenagers. Yaxel for example, clearly has it. Burries too. Quaintance or Brown don’t. I would rather nail a starter (assuming we’re not picking top 4) than swing for an all-star who is all potential. Only caveat to that is Acuff…

I think Dubs first priority is get a guard who can both play shooter/defender with Steph and run offense w/o him. Podz and Melton both ain’t it.

I thought Boston was gonna trade him last summer during the tear down. That would have ensured they missed the playoffs. But I get why they didn’t and respect them going for it. Pistons, Rockets, and Suns could really use him.

There's a reason Derrick White is so beloved by analytics & on/off data: Elite defender, among the league's best guard rim protectors, and lowkey an overall floor-raiser. But this is now nearly 2 seasons of decline, so selling high should NOT be off the table for Boston... 🤷♀️

Genuinely shocked by this but I trust the numbers. Very l reminiscent of the rush to Biden after SC. 20% of the electorate is just moving en masse to the next perceived electable option. Next 7-10 days critical for XB because bubbles can pop as fast as they inflate.

@DCCyclone I think there is basically nothing any Republican presidential candidate can do to get Boomer and GenX black people to vote GOP. It’s almost a familial bond. Millennials are almost as solid. But Gen Z’s are not. That’s all I’m saying.

No, it's not a real change at all. It's noise, not a signal, from overinterpreting unreliably small polling subsamples. A 4% "change" is a throwaway, it's not a change at all. Harry is just following the corporate media directive to produce ratings with bait.

I would guess that Trump/GOP “improvement” with black voters over 8 years is emblematic of a larger young voter issue: 65+ black voters that die are being replaced by 18-24 black voters who are slightly less likely to vote Democrat and even less likely to affiliate as a Democrat
