ASPBAE and the representatives of its members from Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam participated in the #APMED 6 to advance the #SDG4 agenda!

The participants discussed and agreed on a process for developing a Feminist Declaration on #GenderTransformativeEducation, harnessing the experience and expertise of CSOs, researchers and key stakeholders, especially those advancing gender equality in and through education.

To enhance collective efforts in delivering Gender-Transformative Education (GTE), ASPBAE, as the co-lead of the @UNGEI in the Asia-Pacific region, organized a virtual workshop with ASPBAE National Education Coalition (NEC) members from 15 countries on 25 July 2024.

Education and Academia Stakeholder Group (ICAE, GCE, GSF) met at the beginning of the 2nd week of the HLPF 2024 in UN, New York, in order to reflect achievements and challenges of the 1st week, and to prepare and strategise for the important sessions in the second week.

The third sub-regional meeting for ASPBAE's 9th GA and 60th Anniversary Celebration was held on June 28, gathering over 40 participants from Mongolia, Japan, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, and Cambodia. #ASPBAE9thGA #ASPBAE60

On 25 June 2024, ASPBAE members from South Asia (SR 1) met virtually for the first sub-regional meeting of the 9th GA and 60th Anniversary. Participants included over 30 people from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. #LifelongLearning #Education.

Beyond the Arab region, ASPBAE and its members @yayasanpekka and Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Bangladesh, and ASPBAE partner, DVV International, shared their experiences in supporting non-formal education and lifelong learning initiatives for marginalized groups.

Organized by the @UNESCO Regional Office in Cairo and the League of Arab States, this workshop featured presentations on the good practices of CSOs in delivering non-formal education, with a focus on rural disadvantaged communities.
