We wanted to update you that all our police dogs and handlers who were deployed in Bristol this weekend have returned and resumed normal duties. Thank you @BTPDogs for assisting us with one of their dog teams (PD Rylee in bottom right hand corner).

@Yazooming We continually review our platforms and use of social media. X has changed so much over the last couple of years and we feel Instagram is now a better fit for the type of content we want to put out

Representing your country at the Olympics is something most can only dream of. That dream has come true for PD Emmy Lou and PD Hope. Yesterday they arrived in Paris to assist in preparing venues for the upcoming games. Look out for more “pupdates” from the French capital.

PD Gem has had a busy week. Firstly she tracked a wanted suspect who made off into a rural area and found him hiding by a river. Then to top it off she located two hidden suspects when responding to a report of a burglary. There’s no escaping this dog’s nose!

PD Chase attended a report of a burglary where the offender had left the scene before Officers arrived. Despite the time delay, PD Chase located items of forensic value that had been left behind, but more importantly several stolen articles including the victim’s car keys 🔍🐾

PDs Beck and Figa teamed up during a recent night shift to assist LPA Officers in East Bristol. Several arrests made, and a weapon located. On her next shift PD Figa then tracked to a male wanted for several offences who had decamped from a vehicle. Awesome work team Beck & Figa!

PD Jabba strikes again! After a 'resident' absconded from Prison, PD Jabba and handler tracked from the scene and after 30 minutes located his target hiding in deep undergrowth. Great team work between LPA Officers and HMPPS staff, and the male is back where he belongs. 🚔

PD Figa is one of the newest members of our team. Last night she was called into action following a report of a lost child. Figa carried out an extensive search, and successfully located the child who was safely reunited with parents. Great things to come from this dog.

A suspect wanted for violent offences made off from Officers and went to ground. PD Gem and handler arrived, and upon Gem announcing her presence the suspect chose the sensible option and came out of hiding. Good choice- PD Gem does have a fierce side when up close and personal!
