AAH! Steroids? Used routinely by many, but not consistently worldwide. Early liver transplant? Commonly accessible in the US/Canada… far less elsewhere. Reminder: AUD meds at discharge are still the exception! Where you live may determine what care you get. @BlaneyMD

It is 2026. Can we please stop “correcting” the INR in patients with cirrhosis? Disheartening to sometimes see this advice still coming from community GI. Our societies have been working to change this with guidance in recent years—but we still have more work to do. 🚫FFP

AUD is a brain disease 🧠—and in liver clinics it’s also one of the most treatable drivers of ALD progression. The question isn’t “Should we treat AUD in liver disease❓ ” It’s “How do we do it safely and consistently ⁉️” because AUD treatment is liver care!! 🚩 #ASRG_Liver
