Sixty degrees of tail! Taken by Daniele Gasparri on December 28, 2021 @ Atacama region, Chile: I finally imaged comet Leonard with a wide angle lens in order to find out the real extension of the tail. Good news: I finally managed to keep it entirely on the FOV. →

On this day in 2001, IDA designated the city of Flagstaff, Arizona, USA, an International Dark Sky City. This event was the spark for the International Dark Sky Places Program that we have today. To celebrate, we put together a short video: bit.ly/3m3Xudd
