The Orlando Baseball Academy is proud to announce that late last night the program had its first 2026 commit. RHP / INF. Jaxon Leonard, from Lake Brantley H.S. made a verbal commitment to play baseball with Lake Sumter State College in the spring of 2027. Good luck Jaxon!

On Sunday at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Daytona, home of the Cincinnati Reds FSL Team the Daytona Tortougas RHP Alex Sarmiento pitched 3 innings and surrendered just 2 hits and an earned run in OBA’s 7-5 victory HR 14.

On Friday 2026 RHP Jaxon Leonard (Lake Brantley) threw a 4 hit shut out, striking out 7. Improving to 7-0 this summer with 54 strike outs in 39 2/3 innings. He has surrendered just 18 hits, 2 earned runs, and 13 base on balls for the summer.

RHP Jaxon Leonard improved to 5-0 on the season. Leonard worked 5 inn. surrendering just 2 hits, 0 runs, while striking out 10. Leonard has worked 30 innings pitched, while surrendering just 11 hit, 4 runs, 2 earned runs and 8 base on balls. All the while striking out 44 hitters.

Coach DeClue is doing such a great job with our pitching staffs this summer! His work is shining bright on our staff! I am sooooo fortunate to have him on my staff! OBA would not be where it is without him!!! Thanks Coach DeClue!!

Lake Brantley SS Danny Domingues (2027) drove in the winning run with a single to right field in the bottom of rhe 7th to lead OBA 2026 Team to a 4-3 victory over Knights Baseball in Nashville Wednesday. Dominguez also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly earlier in the game.

Alex Sarmiento (Lake Brantley 2026 RHP) picked up his 4th win (4-1) of the season by working a perfect 7th inning.

Michael Fleming (Lake Brantley) entires the game for OBA after an injury and lines a 2 run 2B to left field giving OBA a 2-0 lead at St. Leo, leading OBA to a 4-1 victory.

2016 Boone LHP Connor Rein pitches OBA to a 4-1 victory over Casty Soorts Academy on Saturday at St. Leo. Rein threw a 3 hit , complete game game, striking out 14.
