@AllCentralFla Also- there is absolutely no guarantee that your ratio is gonna change with the express line capacity. They can still run a 200-20 ratio. With or without multi night express, they’d just run out of people to push through 15-20% faster

@AllCentralFla A 200-20 ratio is not a normal ratio. At that ratio you’ve got a third of the entire park running the house through express before you finish a 1000 person standby queue lmao. If that ratio ever even happens (which imma be honest I doubt it does) it’s gonna be a one round thing

Fun fact: Last year to keep express lines moving, some houses hit at times ratios that were: For every 200 express, only 20 standby guests were sent.
Look at Hagrids, once express was removed, their wait time essentially halved.
Lastly, corporations aren’t your friends.

@junikn0x I don’t disagree that the merge ratios can be WHACK. I think last year I waited maybe 20-30 minutes at the longest in a 130 minute queue. Not good. But again that problem will still exist after you get rid of the niche FFP+Express queue.

@AStucker19 makes sense! the problem is i think bc the express lines get so long sometimes the ops that are at the merge point favour the express line in order to get things moving faster (that’s the thought at least). i’ve seen this happen w my own eyes several times

ppl complaining about there no longer being FFP w express is the same convo as removing express from hagrids; they r simply optimizing efficiency. express is NOT a PRIVILEGE for locals to use multiple times a night multiple times a week. just wait in line like a normal person

@ShawnNOrlando How many people in the express line do you genuinely think paid for the $1000 dollar ticket? They aren’t getting rid of express entirely they are only getting rid of an extremely niche small group

I think the multi night express options destroyed the lines completely resulting in wait times that were astronomical.
You may say this is insane and not accurate, Hagrid's is sitting at a 60 min wait without Express when it used to be 3 hours.

@junikn0x The original scenario was getting rid of Express entirely if you had a 1000 person Standby and a 300 person express with a 1:1 Express to Standby guest ratio

@junikn0x I did math on it last year, it’s not based in any actual fact numbers but I tried to keep it pretty conservative. I used 25% of the express lane being FFP+E and got to a 16.5% wait time reduction, but I seriously SERIOUSLY doubt that 25% of the express lane is FFP

@ATLSloan Could go either way but also - especially if the structure design is outsourced - it can be easy to mistake one of the interfaces between the two independent subassemblies. Especially when those subassemblies are huge like track and structure.

I have trouble seeing an engineer manipulating a 3D model of this and not seeing a clear mismatch with the mounting flanges. Especially when they are responsible for constraining the flange to the support/track within the model
Someone in Slovakia grabbed the wrong flange from the parts bin/pallet..
