Fairfax County Community Ramadan Dinner
On Thursday, March 12, a joyful Ramadan dinner brought together representatives from several Fairfax County departments and community leaders for an evening of connection and shared reflection.
Sully District Supervisor and Vice Chair of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Kathy Smith joined the gathering along with representatives from the Fairfax County Park Authority, Department of Economic Initiatives, ArtsFairfax, as well as the police and fire departments.
Guests enjoyed the delicious food and warm conversations while celebrating the spirit of Ramadan and strengthening relationships between the community and local institutions.

On Wednesday, March 11, a wonderful multifaith iftar dinner brought communities together at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, hosted in partnership with Temple Bnai Shalom and ATFA.
The evening welcomed guests from diverse backgrounds who gathered around the same table, sharing meaningful conversations, good food, and a spirit of friendship and solidarity during Ramadan.
The program also featured a beautiful musical performance by Sufi Melody, adding a special atmosphere to the night and making the evening even more memorable.

On Wednesday, March 11, we had a warm and friendly iftar dinner with the Epiphany Episcopal Church community.
Although it was the first iftar gathering hosted together, the evening was truly heartwarming, bringing people together for conversation, reflection, and shared fellowship during Ramadan.

Prince William County Iftar
On Monday, February 24, community members and county leaders gathered at Sweeney Barn in Manassas for the Prince William County Iftar.
The evening brought together Muslim community members and local leaders for a meaningful gathering reflecting the spirit of Ramadan through dialogue, connection, and shared values.
Prince William County Chair Deshundra Jefferson congratulated the community on the month of Ramadan and thanked all participants for their contributions. Representing ATFA, Executive Director Hakan Atasever emphasized in his speech that the spirit of unity experienced during Ramadan should continue beyond the holy month and that serving the community is an essential part of our shared values.
Community Iftar with Sikh Community – Sikh Foundation of Virginia
On Tuesday, February 25, ATFA members gathered with the Sikh community for a warm and welcoming community iftar at the Gurdwara Sahib premises of the Sikh Foundation of Virginia.
Around 70 participants came together to visit the temple, learn about community traditions and fasting practices, and share a meaningful evening of dialogue and connection. 🌙
Guests broke the fast together, enjoyed conversations about faith and community life, and participated in a few friendly raffles that added joy to the evening. The gathering reflected the spirit of Ramadan through hospitality, friendship, and interfaith connection.
