Canadian former soccer player Kaylyn Kyle blasted FC Cincinnati’s Teenage Hadebe, who swapped jerseys with Lionel Messi after a 4-0 thrashing.
“This is the biggest frustration for me. That team looked like they rolled in and were starstruck by Lionel Messi,” she said via Apple TV.
“I understand Lionel Messi is the greatest player of all time. He’s won everything you can win.”
“Hadebe then goes over to him. You just lose 4-0, and you ask for his jersey? For me, you should be embarrassed.”
“You should be embarrassed in front of your home crowd that shows up year in and year out, week in and week out.”
“You just got a 4-0 thrashing in a conference semifinal and you’re asking to trade jerseys?”
“Like I understand it, I get it. He’s the greatest of all time and you want to hang his jersey in your trophy room. But do it behind the scenes, don’t do it when you just got bullied off the pitch.”
“It’s embarrassing for FC Cincinnati. And it’s embarrassing for the players.”
