A reminder that the USA executed Renee Good. Then blocked all investigation into her murder. It's time the USA was liberated.

@Spoon_town The magazines I've had this issue with were difficult to fully load and only started having issues with certain hollows. The springs probably took a set from being over compressed

@Spoon_town I've experienced handgun mags developing issues with certain hollow points after being stored loaded but on the whole it's fine.

@ATadDisturbed I guess so, because storing mags loaded doesn't weaken the springs.

Okay kids, story time. I once loaded six surplus Serbian metal body AK magazines and left them loaded for 10 years. Just sitting there loaded to full 30 for ten years. Around ten years and a little bit, I took them to the range and fired all six magazines without any problems.

Do you keep your mags loaded or unloaded?

@ATadDisturbed Leaving a magazine loaded doesn't loosen the spring.

@TheGrandZero When the spring loses enough tension to affect feed angle yes it does. Unless you're telling me my magazines started feeding issues after being stored loaded for absolutely no reason at all with ammunition they've had no issues with previously.

@TheGrandZero Rifle mags tend to hold rounds relatively level instead of at an angle like handgun mags so it's a much less important thing.

@TheGrandZero It's definitely more of an issue with handguns and hollow point ammunition in my experience. Had a couple different magazines develop feed issues specifically with wider mouthed hollow points. Reduced spring tension messes with the feed angle a lot more

@btcave1 I managed to find an 1899c in it with a couple boxes of ammo. Gun was made in 1901. Ended up selling it because ammo didn't exist under about $2-3 a round

A caliber I haven't ever seen in the wild, just in gun shows. I bet 100 rounds would cost you a pretty penny these days.
