Years ago, tobacco control actually killed bills in Michigan to impose 18+ sales restrictions simply because those bills did not include massive new onerous taxes. I wrote about it in 2018, as the industry led the effort to prevent sales to minors.

Starting tomorrow, FDA has an obligation to enforce the law and clear the market of any synthetic nicotine products that have not received authorization. If FDA fails, it would be directly contrary to the law passed by Congress and would leave America’s kids at risk.
