We are building programs and outreach to welcome them into the industry and help them grow. But we can’t do it alone. We all need to raise the industry profile together.

@AVconnecting @RuudWJanssen @IMEX_Group @MPI @EventDesignCol @corbinball Kudos to the inclusivity of the Encore booth at WEC. Helping young professionals with a headshot or hosting open drinks vs invite-only events felt like a breath of fresh air.

The astounding lack of interest and presence at event industry events of younger attendees should alarm everyone. It looks like we've lost a generation.

@tojulius @RuudWJanssen @IMEX_Group @MPI @EventDesignCol @corbinball #eventprofs don’t make the industry desirable. Entry level pay is low. Expectation, pressure, time commitment is high. To put icing on a bitter cake, the industry complains/brags about stress and how under valued it is. Any wonder they don’t see a future. We need to want change.

@RuudWJanssen @IMEX_Group @MPI @EventDesignCol @corbinball @AVconnecting I think the fact we have to brand initiatives to youth signals low organic engagement. Great initiatives but not organic. If the question is to me, I think I've onboarded thousands of people to the industry by making content available, while many events remain inaccessible.
