@juniexjunie Also, it's more complicated. older people develop health issues. typically women end up being caregivers for their mates. You also have to deal with each other's grown children, their concerns. and differing financial situations. Far different from young people starting off.

The woman I know who are 50+ are not even dating. At all. They have zero interest. They are in community with their family and friends. Completely opted out of dating. Some say they miss romantic companionship but its not worth their peace. Others claim to not miss it at all.

@juniexjunie Im 54 and married almost 30 j. There's no way I would be interested right away in another partner. Heck, not even for one night stands at the moment , those wacky hormones lol. Tinder seems so gross, dating based on looks, not interested.

Hoe kan het dat sommige mensen heel veel vrienden hebben, waarbij je denkt: "huh waarom ben jij zo geliefd?" En dat een ander altijd eenzaam en alleen is, terwijl je denkt: "huh, jij bent zó leuk!" Is dat geluk en pech?

@netcarma Degenen die veel vrienden hebben zijn ook meestal degenen die zich enorm verbazen als ze in tijden van nood veel minder vrienden blijken te hebben dan ze altijd dachten.

@Bougainvillefan In Belgium, it just started to get around 30° , and the nights cool off nicely. Probably won't last like this for monts, knowing the weather here. Why would I waste money on AC? We have vans, we have closed curtains and we have windows to open at night. Also, lots of plants*

Can i know where the myth of "europeans don't use ACs" came from?? Theyre literally everywhere here in Italy and even when i went to Paris in 2024 my hotel and the bars had It too, maybe it's something only in northern Europe idk
