❗️🇷🇺 🇪🇺 “Russia’s pipeline gas exports to Europe have fallen to a 50-year low” — Reuters.
In 2025, Russia’s pipeline gas supplies to Europe declined by 44% compared to the previous year. In the past, Europe was the largest source of budget revenue for Russia from oil and gas sales, delivered via pipelines built by the Soviet Union in the 1960s–1970s.
Russia’s pipeline gas exports to Europe peaked in 2018–2019, exceeding 175–180 billion cubic meters annually, generating tens of billions of dollars in profits for Gazprom.
This year, however, Gazprom’s deliveries amounted to only 18 billion cubic meters, all transported to Europe via the TurkStream pipeline. By comparison, when exports began in 1975, volumes stood at 19.3 billion cubic meters.
Russia also supplies gas to Europe in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipped by tankers and is currently the European Union’s second-largest LNG supplier after the United States. European Union authorities in Brussels have pledged to fully terminate all gas imports from Russia by the end of 2027, according to Reuters.

🇺🇸🇺🇦 President Trump has pledged air defense assistance to Ukraine — Zelenskyy says.
The President of Ukraine stated that during his meeting with Donald Trump, special attention was devoted to Ukraine’s air defense needs.
“In a dedicated part of my meeting with President Trump, I clearly emphasized that we urgently need air defense. We require missiles for NASAMS systems and PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems. I cannot publicly disclose our current situation, but I presented everything to the American side and explained it in detail,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Zelenskyy, he also informed Trump that Ukraine is ready to purchase this equipment under the PURL program.
“We have the capacity to buy air defense systems. I asked the President to assist us as much as possible. The faster, the better.”
The discussions took place in the context of ongoing security cooperation between Ukraine and the United States.

‼️‼️🇺🇲🇻🇪 U.S. Special Operations Forces have conducted a maritime raid rehearsal in the Caribbean, training for potential actions against drug cartels linked to Venezuela, according to U.S. defense reporting. The exercise involved special forces units practicing ship-boarding and coastal insertion missions with support from U.S. Coast Guard aviation, reflecting a growing emphasis on joint counter-narcotics operations in the region. Officials frame the drills as preparedness activities, but analysts see them as a strategic signal aimed at deterring transnational criminal networks and increasing pressure on actors operating with the tolerance or protection of the Maduro regime. The rehearsal underscores Washington’s willingness to blend military capabilities with law-enforcement objectives, improving rapid-response options at sea. For regional security, the move highlights a tougher U.S. posture in the Caribbean, where drug trafficking, state fragility, and geopolitical competition increasingly intersect.

‼️‼️🇩🇪🇷🇺 BIG | In the event of a war between Russia and NATO, Germany could become a key base and transit corridor for allied troops, and therefore one of the first targets of strikes on military and civilian infrastructure.
Politico writes that Germany has prepared a closed action plan in case of war - it is about the Operational Defense Plan, in which cyberattacks, sabotage and disinformation are considered as possible preparations for a full-fledged war.

Zelensky says the war could end in 2026, noting that for the first time, Russia's army has stopped growing despite monthly mobilizations of 43,000. “If it continues, Putin will have to mobilize the population, and he doesn’t want that due to growing problems in Russian society,” Zelensky said.

Ukraine is about to test the Czech-built Narwhal — a 680 km-range cruise missile designed to survive Russia’s GPS jamming and strike deep behind enemy lines.
Arriving in early 2026, it's not an old donation but a brand-new weapon entering real combat. Ukraine becomes not just a user, but a development partner, helping perfect the missile for serial production.

‼️IMPORTANT: Trump said that he provided Ukraine with security guarantees during this meeting. This is another very important moment that much of the media missed amid the flood of information. This issue has been emphasized many times by Zelenskyy and his negotiating team as one of the most critical.
Although, it is not yet clear what exactly was agreed to - this is something I’ll be researching and investigating in the coming days - but my sources say it was one of today’s key breakthroughs.
Q: President Trump, obviously security is a major issue for the Ukrainians, right? Did you offer any promises, any assurances today?
TRUMP: I did, I did. We want to work with Europe, and Europe is going to take over a big part of it, as you can imagine. You know, they're right there. But we're going to help Europe 100%, like they'd help us.

I thank @POTUS Donald Trump for a great meeting. We had a substantive discussion on all issues, and we much appreciate the progress achieved by American and Ukrainian teams in recent weeks. Special thanks to Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner for their engagement and full commitment, as well as to our team — first of all, to Rustem Umerov and Andrii Hnatov.
We discussed all the aspects of the peace framework and achieved significant results. We also discussed the sequence of further actions. We agreed that security guarantees are key on the path to achieving a lasting peace, and our teams will continue working on all aspects. We agreed that our teams would meet as early as next week to finalize all discussed matters. We also agreed with President Trump that he will host Ukrainian and European leaders in Washington, D.C., in January.
Ukraine is ready for peace.
