Welcome to A New Era, Dr. Helen Arteaga, Julia Kerson and Emmy Liss!
 Dr. Helen Arteaga joins as Deputy Mayor of Health and Human Services. She's served as CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst since 2021 and co-founded Plaza del Sol Family Health Center. She'll lead with humanity and grit — strengthening and expanding access to care and social services for all New Yorkers.
 Julia Kerson joins as Deputy Mayor of Operations. She helped lead the rollout of congestion pricing, advance multi-billion-dollar transportation and housing initiatives, and deliver the Hudson Tunnel Program — the largest infrastructure project in the country. She'll oversee city operations and infrastructure to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, for working New Yorkers.
 Emmy Liss joins as Executive Director of the Office of Child Care. She's an experienced public sector leader who previously served as COO for NYC's early childhood education program, helping build a system that now serves nearly 100,000 children. She'll focus on building a high-quality, accessible early childhood education system for all New York families.

One of the final ways my team is communicating the amazing work of so many city employees is to highlight the unprecedented asylum seeker crisis, when 241,000 migrants landed on our doorstep. Check out this amazing documentary, highlighting just some of the herculean work done.
