Nobody taught us about money. They just expected us to figure it out.
School taught me the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
It did not teach me what compound interest is. It did not explain how a credit card actually works. It did not mention that inflation is quietly eating my savings while I sleep.
Nobody sat me down and said: "hey, money has rules and if you don't learn them, the rules will still apply to you."
So most of us learned the hard way. The overdraft-at-the-wrong-moment way. The "wait, why is my balance still this low?" way. The sending money home and watching 10% disappear to fees way.
And the wildest part? The people who understood money earliest weren't smarter. They just had parents, schools, or environments that talked about it openly.
Financial literacy isn't a talent. It's access. And most of us just didn't have it.
The good news and I mean this, is that the information that used to live behind wealth managers and private banking appointments is now sitting in your phone. In newsletters. In communities. In conversations like this one.
You're not behind. You're just starting from where you actually started. That's not an excuse. It's just true. And true things are the best place to begin.

MENTIONED YOU! How do you actually prompt your AI to get the best out of it? Most of us just open the tool and start typing with no plan, no direction, no clear goal. And then we wonder why the output feels off. That's not an AI problem. That's a delegation problem. I got certified in AI Fluency recently and one of the first things I learned was the 4D Framework, Delegation, Description, Discernment, and Diligence. I'll be breaking down each one. Today is Delegation. But first, AI fluency is about augmentation, not automation. You're not trying to get AI to do everything. You're using it to make your work better. So what is Delegation? It's deciding: -> What you do yourself -> What you do together with AI -> What you let AI handle fully Most of us skip this step entirely. We either do too much ourselves or hand everything to AI without thinking. Both are mistakes. To delegate well, two things matter: 1. KNOW YOUR FIELD — If you don't understand the work, you can't judge whether the output is good or bad. Your expertise is what keeps you in control. 2. KNOW YOUR TOOL — Every AI platform has strengths and limits. Knowing the difference is what separates someone using AI well from someone just guessing. And before you open any AI tool, be clear on what you're trying to achieve. A vague goal gives you a vague result. Every time. Hopefully we can all start getting this right from now.
