Broadly, we found that positive social relationships are particularly protective for women against alcohol misuse, with prelim evidence suggesting that dysregulated orbitofrontal cortex reactivity may be particularly impactful for men. proquest.com/openview/05e8b…

Most exciting: based on 125 reviewed #neuroimaging studies on #drug exposure in rodents the effects of drugs on brain function seem to be dynamic, with the #striatum being upregulated in the first weeks but downregulated later! doi.org/10.1016/j.neub… @UMNeurosci @UMN_MDTA
