@Xhog0 @WolfeyGlick My buddy that has played exactly 0 minutes of showdown went 10-0 in ladder with a rampardos tyrantrum umbreon team. The barrier of entry could not be lower and the game would more confusing for people with hidden items providing innacurrate understandings of the game

@WolfeyGlick Hard disagree for one reason: Every new player getting into this gets immediately blown out by people who only ever play competitive such as Pokemon Showdown and nothing else. The barrier of entry is still way too high and veterans can get past that easily.

One of my favorite things about Pokemon as a competitive game is the sheer amount of options it gives the player in teambuilding, so it may be surprising that I actually think the limited options Champions presents is actually a huge win in many ways
