Happy International #dayofthegirl Girls everywhere have different visions for their future. We’re pretty sure however that for every menstruating girl, that includes dignified periods. Our partnership with @thecovaproject makes this possible for girls in low income communities

My own I think women who are child-free by choice should be very proud of that choice. And they can loud it anytime and anyhow they want. Being proud of that choice does not undermine the experience or circumstances of anyone else

@fishAman00 Seeing comments of accountability and financial investments just tells us the problem is right at the root of environmental socialization, and fighting that behaviour construct is really herculean. @A_Difficult_She good to see your persistence ✊🏽✊🏽

As the world marks Menstrual Hygiene Day under the theme #PeriodFriendlyWorld, we reiterate this message from our #donttaxmyperiod march. Period stigma is as detrimental to the wellbeing of menstruating people as the lack of access to period products.

I love this year’s World Menstrual Hygiene Day theme. A #PeriodFriendlyWorld is one where availability & affordability ensures access, & one where conversations around periods are encouraged & normalized, rather than deemed a taboo. Happy #mhd2024

@xm_muva Problem is, a lot of them are gatekeepers and they have access to a lot of women. They further perpetuate the patriarchy and force younger women especially with them. I don’t try to save them from themselves, it’s often impossible but I try to ensure they’re not passing it down.

Feminists need to understand a lot of women are totally fine existing under a patriarchal society. Know this and know peace. They want to be in servitude, they want to be infantilized, they want to centre a man, they enjoy being validated by their marriages & children.

I once got the opportunity to ask @samini_dagaati (he was featured on the song) about this song and he admitted how wrong it was and how he knows better now. He has my respect. It’s not difficult to understand how problematic this song is, if you’re not being misogynistic.

On a @tv3_ghana this morning, I spoke about how @obourbice Konkotiba song should be banned as it promotes paedophilia. This @mrjamesreinhold person who I just discovered is often in women’s rights spaces has this to say. Obviously a misogynist profiting off women’s issues
