I feel incredibly fortunate to be living in an era where I can still watch a Steven Spielberg film on the big screen.
#DisclosureDay is an absolute masterpiece!
For the first time in a film about life beyond our planet, Spielberg goes beyond spectacle and asks questions that linger long after the credits roll:
What makes us human?
Is it truly humane to treat alien beings as objects of experimentation rather than living creatures capable of feeling?
And are we really ready for the moment it is finally disclosed that we are not alone?
This is the kind of film that stays with you. It left me reflecting on one powerful idea at its core:
Why are we always afraid of what is different? Why do we fear what is new?
Beneath its awe, mystery, and wonder, #DisclosureDay is ultimately a film about us. About our fears, our prejudices, and our capacity for empathy. Spielberg once again reminds us that the greatest discoveries are not always out there in the universe. Sometimes, they are within ourselves.

@A_Ranalyne Disons que c’est un savant mélange et que la magie Spielberg opère toujours

Spielberg a encore frappé. 🎬🛸👽

"See people's secret thoughts.
Pretend to be other people and use that to manipulate.
Make things in plain view disappear.
Translate foreign and alien languages.
Be a "passenger" for the alien's message to the world."
If you wanted to convince people that aliens were actually demons, you'd be hard-pressed to come up with a better way than to re-create the possession playbook.

I promised no spoilers as much as possible, but here is the basics for Disclosure Day. It is one of the most shocking pieces of propaganda I have seen in a while. It is the last call of the WWII consensus: aliens are your saviors and empathy is the only virtue.
In a post-Epstein world, it dares have a story of children seduced and kidnapped by aliens pretending to be Disney-style animals, taken to Hansel and Gretel's house (this is what it is called in the movie) to be "imbued" by aliens in a way so traumatic that they forget and repress it until they are adults, only to discover that this initiation has given them the power to:
See people's secret thoughts.
Pretend to be other people and use that to manipulate.
Make things in plain view disappear.
Translate foreign and alien languages.
Be a "passenger" for the alien's message to the world.
This is nothing to say about its take on Christianity and the suggested apostasy around accepting these beings.
Then finally the entire movie is a final desperate appeal to the traditional media as the only purveyors of truth. The entire drama of the film is a man who has irrefutable video proof of aliens looking to release it. The whole movie is a series of chases against the evil corporation that wants to keep it hidden. He ends up releasing it on the evening news! Yes, you heard me. He releases it on the evening news which is then transmitted to all the traditional media companies that are named: ABC, CNN, Fox News etc. Anyone under 70 will realize that the movie could have ended in 10 minutes with a laptop and wifi. It is really mad.
Don't go see it.

@peolesdru @PageauJonathan @JackPosobiec I thought the cops were "lifted" right off E.T. .. I guess they will Photoshop radios instead of guns in Disclosure Day: special Ed.
I almost expected the fire truck to just fly off, with Williams' E.t. theme and all..
English

@PageauJonathan @JackPosobiec Best part were the ridiculously incompetent Keysone Cops. Or maybe they were Shriners since they had the synchronized driving down pat.

@JDRucker When Emily Blunt told the girl at the end of the movie, not to worship her, I almost lost it. I thought oh my God they’re gonna make her girl Jesus I’m gonna stand up and walk out.

Just got back from Disclosure Day. I went with the intention of debunking what I heard was a manipulation of Christian theology to leave room for aliens in God's creation.
I expected a high-quality movie with a dangerous messaging that would be planting a seed for the Great Deception.
What I watched was an embarrassingly bad movie. Predictable. Cliche. The climax was laughable. It would have been semi-shocking two decades ago. The only thing that sort of saved it was the great acting despite the horrible script.
As for debunking it spiritually, no need. It was so ham-fisted with its attempt to work aliens into theology that none of the elect could easily be swayed.
I wasted two-and-a-half hours.
