President Biden’s life of public service is stellar. What a massive legislative record! I think the world of him. My heart goes out to Biden & his family. He is a courageous patriot with this heartbreaking decision. Glad he endorsed Kamala Harris. I’m definitely supporting her.

My latest column is in The Alexandria Times about a harmful BID proposal for Old Town. Our city must be pro-business and business friendly; the BID proposal is neither. And changing how votes are calculated is plain wrong.

Why are we discussing an arena at Potomac Yard with the same organization that is breaking their agreement and commitments to Washington DC? Does anyone believe they wouldn’t do exactly the same thing to us?

#BreakingNews - DC Attorney General Brian Schwalb tells Ted Leonsis in a stern letter this week that Leonsis’ DC contract means Leonsis cannot legally move his Caps & Wizards teams to Virginia until 2047 — 2047, that Leonsis can’t just pay off bonds early & move in 2027. @wcp

I am flabbergasted about the informations that continues to surface as proof that the Glenn-Dome at Potomac Yard is a bad deal for Virginia. No-brainer and anybody with 2 cents worth of common sense would agree.

Incredible! Alexandria earned its AAA bond rating from Wall Street last fall based on our excellent financial well-being and city’s presentation to rating agencies and yet now, ALX says it’s in financial peril. ALX can’t have it both ways. The public & Wall Street need answers.
