There's a general store with 2 gas pumps down the road from us in rural Kentucky. It's the last one in our county that hasn't been bought up by foreigners and converted into a kratom/vape emporium. In December, we bought it.

I think it’s more than a theory, it’s pretty much exactly part of their plan. All those events require a certain number of rooms within a certain distance of where the event is. It also *could* draw other events that have similar reqs. I don’t know that I would bank on it though.

This is from 2024 so not the past year and a little less than 100k but still. I only *actually* paid like 8k in federal tax, 6.7k in FICA, and probably actually less than 3k state. So all in all, about 70k after tax. At 100k, you’d definitely make more than the video shows.

The price is actually lower currently than it would have been under the previous gas taxes. They changed it from a 6% sales tax AND a 31 cent motor fuel tax to just a flat 52 cent motor fuel tax. But sure blame the state and not the current international affairs

@FreeTheMitten Okay keep screeching into the void. The state gas tax isn’t what is making or breaking a taxpayer’s budget in Michigan and isn’t why gas is almost $5 a gallon. A flat gas tax that goes towards rebuilding infrastructure is actually good for the state. What do you propose instead?
