A planned trip back home with much needed drama! So my flight was scheduled at 23:55 on a Friday night Mumbai airport Terminal 1. I stay in Navi Mumbai, so I started trying for a cab at 18:00...good 6 hours for take off...45 mins & not a single cab driver accepted my trip. When you need @Uber_India the most, they happily disappoint you. Frantically I walked down to the apartment main gate & started to look for auto rickshaws...20 of them didn't accept...I was beginning to panic... That's when my saviour Dashrath appears...with 0 confidence I utter "Airport Jana hai", "terminal 1" & he nonchalantly says "baitho na sir"... simultaneously puts the meter down & starts. Took us 2 hours & 20 mins. Not once did he complain during the 35+ kms ride. Trip completed & I got down from the auto, paid him extra and wished him Happy Diwali. This is #Mumbai, I understood it & couldn't stop smiling 😊

Rice tastes best when you pile everything on top of each other on the plate. Especially after a long day. Sambar, chawal, alu fried, beans with coconut. Matlab heavenly.
