@Arron_TK I think that classic RE has a certain flavor, a unique vibe that Capcom seldom capitalizes on. In their -successful- quest to update the series they sometimes forget that they already have that identifiable, distinctive feeling in the OGs. Then they go back to it, as in RE9

@Arron_TK It worked. They definitively took a risk with many different elements and it paid off. But it did have some shortcomings. Mainly, the typical RE enemy variety is gone, and after the first excellent act, quality drops sharply. IMO, it felt very divorced from the RE series.

Resident evil 7 was the shakeup that the franchise needed. It brought back the horror element that was completely missing from 6. Capcom cooked with this game.

The "significant backlash" that Saros is getting (we'll see if it's actually significant when we get sales numbers) is making me think. A lot of the anti-woke crowd doesn’t actually hate politics in games. They hate not being the default anymore. For years games catered almost entirely to guys, so a certain slice of players got used to every protagonist looking like them and every story orbiting their comfort zone. Now when a game shifts even a little away from that, they act like the medium has been taken over instead of just growing. What they want is sameness dressed up as purity. They want every game to feel like the ones they grew up with, so they never have to think about who else plays games. It is not about loving games as an art form. It is about wanting the industry to freeze in place, so they never lose their spot at the center. This doesn't go for EVERYONE that might align with that crowd though. There are some valid arguments to be made about shoving stupid shit into games just for representation, but I think most of these dudes are too dumb to think that deep.

@kitsuneredFES I have it and it is pretty damn good. It feels next level and it is sturdy as well. I have only one issue with it and it is the related to the Steam input mapping of the extra buttons. But I think that's not the controllers fault.

The Xbox Elite Series 2 is probably the best feeling controller I've ever used in my life. Legit the only thing missing from it that I can think of is gyro, but otherwise it's basically perfection

“The main characters in Saros (a new IP) is Indian” might be the dumbest criticism I heard in the last 5 years. Compared to this the initial criticism of Atsu in Ghost Of Yotei (second part of a franchise) sounds almost intellectual.

This right here is why you can’t adapt RE into a proper Live action. The game, it’s fine, in movie form, it’s corny as fuck.

Parece que algunos de sus titulos no tuvieron el rendimiento esperado, acá algunos ejemplos: -Spider-Man 2 vendió 16 MILLONES en PS5 vs solo 700k en PC. -GoW: Ragnarok vendió 15 MILLONES en Ps4+Ps5 y solo entre 300 y 800k en Pc -Hoizon: Forbidden West parece haber vendido solo un 7% en PC de lo que vendió en PS5 A Sony le conviene mucho más volver a la estrategia de vender consolas que poner plata de desarrollo en ports de PC.

I beat Saros’s main story, just cleaning up the remaining trophies/getting true ending & I’ll be done with this game for good. It’s story unfortunately flounders its potential & adds elements that just dilute everything Final boss is a cake walk too oh well I’m worried Sony hasn’t learned/will change anything about their first party titles going forward. 🤷🏻‍♂️
